The SVS18 power distribution system optimises DC 24 V distribution in automated process technology, in the production area of chemical plants and in power stations.

The SVS18 power distributor for DIN rail mounting distributes the voltage potentials fed in from a DC 24 V power supply (switched-mode power supply) to 10 slots F1 to F10 (arranged from right to left). The system offers 2 integrated redundancy diodes in each fused load output and selectively protects the connected loads such as the control unit, measuring transducers, actuators, solenoid valve assemblies, bus modules etc. by means of the circuit breaker used.

With a maximum total current of 25 A and a typ. With a maximum total current of 25 A and a typical load current of 3 A per channel (max. 6 A in limited continuous operation), the SVS18 current distributor simplifies marshalling and sub-marshalling in DC 24 V applications with short-circuit current limitation. All signal contacts (normally open contacts) of the circuit breakers used are connected in series and enable summation signalling according to the closed-circuit current principle. The ten fused "L+" load outlets, each with two redundancy diodes per slot, significantly reduce the usual wiring effort. All connections of the DC 24V supply, load outputs with 0 V return conductor and the signalling terminal are designed using spring-cage technology.
