Manual motor starters - reliable protection for motors and systems
Manual motor starters, also known as motor-protective circuit-breakers, reliably protect electric motors and systems against short-circuits and overloads. The three-pole protective devices combine thermal tripping elements for overload protection with electromagnetic tripping elements for short-circuit protection
In addition to the protective function, they offer an integrated isolating function for safe isolation of the system and supply. They can also be used for manual switching of loads.
Thanks to the ampere setting scale, the desired setting current can be adjusted directly and without additional calculations. The setting current corresponds to the rated current of the motor - in accordance with international and national standards: no tripping at 1.05 × I, tripping at 1.2 × I (I = setting current).
This combination of protection, control and isolation makes manual motor starters a compact and efficient solution for the safe operation of electrical drives.
