Metallised carbons are made from graphite and other carbon materials, with the addition of copper and other metal powders. They have a significantly higher conductivity and lower contact resistance. The load is considerably higher than with hard and fine carbon brushes.
Areas of application: Earthing brushes, DC low-voltage machines, car starters, slip rings, synchronised asynchronous motors, conductor rails, current collectors, etc.
