Inrush current limiter with soft start for powerful electric machines

When electric motors are switched on, currents occur that can be up to 6 times higher than the rated current. This causes fuses to blow. This is remedied by the fully electronic Gefistart inrush current limiter, which only provides the connected load with a low voltage at the moment of switch-on. The voltage then increases automatically, smoothly and continuously to 230 V.

Connection:
The inrush current limiter is simply plugged into the domestic socket and the mains plug of the machine to be operated is plugged into the "Automatic" socket of the ballast. The green indicator light shows that the machine is ready for operation.

Operation:
The "NETZ" socket is a normal 230 V distribution socket. The "AUTOMATIC" socket only provides the connected machine with a low voltage when it is switched on, the level of which can be set inside the Gefistart. After the machine is switched on, this voltage increases automatically, smoothly and continuously up to the rated voltage of 230 V. The ramp-up time of the set voltage until the rated voltage of 230 V is reached can also be set internally. The voltage level and the ramp-up time determine the level of the inrush current and therefore also the inrush current and the soft start.
