EBU10-TA1-003-AC230V-B-16A ETA Electronic circuit breaker

The electronic circuit breaker type EBU10-T, Electronic Breaker Unit, provides selective overcurrent protection for AC 230 V UPS systems. The unit consists of a miniature circuit breaker that is approved for short-circuit disconnections of up to 10 kA and an adjustable electronic unit that takes over measuring and evaluation tasks in a targeted manner. The product is available in the LS rated currents 4 A, 6 A, 10 A and 16 A characteristic B and C and is operated directly at the outgoing feeder of the respective UPS.

UPS systems often do not provide sufficient power in the event of a short circuit to trigger conventional miniature circuit breakers. The electronic AC circuit breaker can be individually adapted to the UPS and thus reliably trips in the event of a short circuit. Due to the optimum setting of the rated load current, an overload in the load circuit is also specifically detected and switched off.

Fatal disconnection of the entire output voltage of the UPS system is thus excluded.uPS systems can be dimensioned about 1/3 smaller than before thanks to the Electronic Breaker Unit, EBU10-T
, because no additional line reserves have to be kept available for tripping. EBU10-T increases system availability, reduces overall costs and noticeably simplifies planning.
