The soft start with automatic phase reversal has been specially designed for use in conjunction with pumps
. It can be used to start motors up to a maximum of 15 kW where direct starting is not permitted. The automatic phase reversal prevents the connected consumer from operating in the wrong direction of rotation, even if a left-hand rotating field is provided by the supply network. Among other things, the device has integrated motor protection (thermal/magnetic), thermal contact connection and operating display as well as supply voltage monitoring. This enables the device to switch off in the event of a fault, such as a phase fault, phase sequence fault,
overvoltage/undervoltage, phase fluctuation and neutral conductor breakage. Operation is manual via an on/off button or, in automatic mode, optionally via a level controller, level electrodes or a float switch.
