Ssnap-action disc thermostat: limiter with free release

The very small snap disc thermostat KBF allows current loads of up to 16 A and can be used for a wide range of applications. As a double fuse, it has a trip-free function that prevents it from being switched on again in the event of an overtemperature, as well as a mechanical reset. The KBF thermostat is used wherever overheating protection is required in the smallest of spaces.

The KBF thermostat (limiter with free release) responds to a fixed temperature, which is determined by a bimetal disc with snap-on fastening. The jumping movement of the bimetal disc is mechanically transferred to a bridge contact by a transfer pin, the circuit is interrupted. The circuit is switched on again mechanically (manually) by the release mechanism.

Tripping takes place at + 56° C with a tolerance of +/- 5° C.
The thermal switch has a maximum load capacity of 16 A.
