The NOLTA KR1 EX float switch is the ideal solution for level control in potentially explosive atmospheres, e.g. at petrol stations, sewage treatment plants or biogas plants. The KR1 EX may be used in an intrinsically safe circuit in EX zones 0, 1 and 2 as well as IIA, IIB and IIC and temperature T6 in accordance with the EC type examination.
In contrast to the MS1 EX controller, the DR1EX float switch is a 2-point controller. This means that only one float switch is required for switching on and off. The KR1 EX is a changeover switch, so it can be used both for emptying and filling a tank, depending on the electrical connection.
