The ER4 auxiliary phase starting relay is used to switch the auxiliary phase when starting single-phase AC motors.

Features:

Installation and connection:
The relay can be screwed on at any point and in any position using the two fixing holes.
Three 6.3 x 0.8 mm blade terminals are attached to the relay for easy connection.

Design:
The following 2 variables are decisive for the design of the start-up relay:

1. Pick-up current
Current at which the relay picks up, i.e. closes the switching contact and thus the auxiliary phase is switched on.

2. drop-out current
Current at which the relay drops out again, i.e. the switching contact opens again and thus the auxiliary phase is switched off.

Selecting a suitable relay:
The decisive criterion for selecting the type is always the pick-up current.
The relay is selected after determining the pick-up and drop-out current using the type list.
The measured drop-out current must always be below the drop-out current of the relay according to the list!
Only then is it guaranteed that the relay will drop out safely and switch off the auxiliary phase.
