31213 Auxiliary phase start-up relay ER4 + bracket 12.8/10.6 A

The ER4 auxiliary phase starting relay is used to switch the auxiliary phase when starting single-phase AC motors.

Features:

• Position-independent function:
  The relay operates with the same precision in every position. This is particularly advantageous if the motor is operated in different positions.

  The relay can be mounted anywhere in the motor, on the motor or even somewhere outside the motor.

Installation and connection:
The relay can be screwed on at any point and in any position using the two fixing holes.
Three 6.3 x 0.8 mm blade terminals are attached to the relay for easy connection.

Design:
The following 2 variables are decisive for the design of the start-up relay:

1. Pick-up current
Current at which the relay picks up, i.e. closes the switching contact and thus switches on the auxiliary phase.

2. Drop-out current
Current at which the relay drops out again, i.e. opens the switching contact again and thus switches off the auxiliary phase.

Selecting a suitable relay:
The decisive criterion for selecting the type is always the pick-up current.
The relay is selected after determining the pick-up and drop-out current with the aid of the type list.
The measured drop-out current must always be below the drop-out current of the relay according to the list!
Only then is it guaranteed that the relay will drop out safely and switch off the auxiliary phase.
