The automatic switch-on unit 0098.3927 from Klinger & Born is a compact control unit for automatically switching on extraction systems and other consumers. Operation can be selected flexibly using the integrated manual / 0 / auto selector switch. It is designed for a total load of up to 16 A or 3.6 kW; the maximum output load is 3.0 kW.

Functional description:
The unit utilises a switch-on delay to switch electric motors or other inductive loads on and off with a time delay. This ensures trouble-free starting, as high inrush currents (up to six times the rated current) can occur when electric motors are switched on. If several motors are started at the same time, this can cause upstream fuses to blow.

To prevent this, the second drive is switched on with a time delay using the switch-on delay. After approx. three seconds, it switches on automatically without requiring any further operation and switches off again automatically after the main drive has been switched off. This function is particularly practical for extraction systems and similar applications.

Using the Auto-0-Hand switch (optional), the extraction unit (slave) can also be started up independently of the main unit (master). Each master socket activates the two slave sockets independently of each other.
