Switch-on delays are used, for example, to switch electric motors or other inductive loads on and off with a time delay. This is an important device to ensure trouble-free starting. When electric motors are switched on, high inrush currents occur, which can be approx. 6 times the nominal current. If two motors are switched on at the same time, the starting currents are in a range that can cause the upstream fuse to blow. To prevent this, the second drive is switched on with a time delay using a switch-on delay. This has the further advantage that the second drive switches on automatically after approx. 3 seconds without further operation and switches off again automatically after the main drive is switched off. This is a useful feature for extraction systems and much more. using the Auto-0-Hand switch (optional), the extraction unit (slave) can also be switched on when the saw (master) is not switched on.
